About Me

Life has provided me with twists and turns.  Ups and downs. Some bad, BUT mostly good.  I am a father, husband, son, brother, and a coach.  My entire life has been spent in locker rooms.  I played all sports growing up until focusing on basketball as I reached high school.  Sports and coaching has affected my life in so many ways.

I played basketball at Texas A&M University before transferring to Marquette University to finish my playing eligibility.  At Marquette I finished a Master’s Degree in Communications prior to quickly jumping into the “grind” of college coaching. I simply loved it.  Coaching (and allowing myself to be coached) has enhanced my life experience beyond my wildest dreams.  Some of my coaching successes have allowed me to coach in the NCAA tournament, win a league BARONEchampionship, recruit and coach NBA Draft picks.  Indiana University, Marquette University, Illinois State University, and the University of Wisconsin Green Bay have been a few of the places I have coached successfully.

As a coach I have been a salesman, counselor, motivator, innovator, and student all at once and so I know that whatever comes next, coaching will never stop for me.  My mind is always relating even the most mundane daily tasks of life to coaching because EVERYTHING RELATES. As I’ve relayed my thoughts to various people they’ve said, “you should write this stuff down!”  This blog is an attempt to do just that.  What I do translates to the white-collar business person and blue-collar worker.  It relates to the stay at home parent or the newlywed couple.  Maybe it will resonate with you.
